TMHistoryIcons is the national teachmeet dedicated to History teachers. 2019 is the fourth annual event and this year we are delighted to be holding the event at the TES headquarters in Sheffield. 

As part of a huge programme of engaging sessions, Carmel will run her "Up On Your Feet, Get Out of Your Seat!" workshop, exploring the concept that ‘new’ linear learning needn’t be one-dimensional.

In this interactive session Carmel will help you to pace yourself by modelling active techniques easily transferrable to your context. Explore opportunities for a ‘breather’ from desk-bound tasks which can punctuate your course while developing knowledge and historical skills. Taking examples from new GCSE depth and thematic studies try out these approaches to captivate your class. Be ready to think creatively and devise a take-away training plan.
